November 12-14, 2019 – Roguevation Poster presentations at ITC
Roguevation is presenting at the 50th annual International Test Conference held this year in Washington, D.C. November 12-14, 2019. First, in a collaboration effort with engineers from Renesas and Spandnix, a poster presentation illustrates a solution to automatically generate and apply patterns for field returns. This poster is titled: A novel PRPG streaming scan test optimized for failure analysis of field returns. A second poster illustrates the integration of the Standard Test Interface Language (STIL) and latest extensions into Roguevation software. This poster is titled: Direct Application of IEEE 1450.4 Test Flow on ATE.
Roguevation encourages all conference attendees to visit both poster presentations.
September 2019 – Roguevation turns 10!
Roguevation was founded in September of 2009, and now celebrates its 10th anniversary.
“We began this adventure on a thesis that sharing the cost of software development amongst multiple Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) hardware makers would prove advantageous to all stakeholders.” says Ric Dokken, CEO and President of Roguevation, “The business model of developing ATE software independent of hardware has yielded a profitable and stable company that is now 10 years old.”
Roguevation is based in San Ramon, CA with sales and support in the US and Japan.
June 10, 2016 – Roguevation and Spandnix Expand Presence in Asia with Initial SX-5000 ATE Solution Installation in Taiwan
San Ramon CA, June 10, 2016 – Roguevation and Spandnix announce the first installation of the SX-5000 solution in Taiwan following earlier successes in Japan and the Philippines. The SX-5000 is a joint offering targeting the cost-sensitive and extremely competitive semiconductor ATE market. In a model similar to the PC market, this production proven solution is comprised of Spandnix hardware and Roguevation software, with each company focusing on their respective strengths. The fusion of the two technologies uniquely provides the best end-user experience without the compromises and dependencies often encountered when one company develops both hardware and software.
Spandnix began a promotion of the SX5000 with a private event in Taiwan in November 2015 to expand presence in Asia, and delivers the first system to an initial customer this month. This first installation will be used to test and evaluate advanced analog devices.
“We are delighted to bring this solution to the ATE market in Taiwan.” says Ric Dokken, CEO and President of Roguevation, “We fully believe that ATE software can and should be independent of the tester hardware. By allowing each company to focus on their areas of expertise, the customers will win in the end with lower-cost hardware, more innovative software, and reduced time to market.”
“The global economy continues to go through unprecedented change, and the semiconductor test industry is no exception to this.” says Takahiro Seki, CEO of Spandnix, “We strive to meet the diverse needs of our customers and working with Roguevation to deliver this joint offering will provide a best-in-class solution to the market.”
The SX-5000 utilizes the Rhythm operating system from Roguevation, a highly versatile STIL (IEEE 1450) standard language software, along with technology and proven reliability from the Spandnix SX-3000 hardware. Floating resources are identical to those on the SX-3000. The SX-5000 has a cable-less design and high-speed digital made possible with an integrated test head. The digital sub-system supports test rates up to 100MHz and includes per-pin PMU’s for DC tests. The SX-5000 targets a wide variety of devices including: MCU/ASIC, Mixed Analog LSI, power supply monitoring IC, motor drivers, Touch Screen Control (TSC), and complex power IC with solutionsup to 2000V/100A.
The SX-5000 is an optimized solution for the cost-sensitive and highly competitive semiconductor test market. With Roguevation’s innovation in software and Spandnix’s expertise in hardware, this joint solution is well suited to meet the rapidly changing needs of the ATE market.
